Garrett Electronics, TR Discriminator, Dual Coil

This detector shows minimal signs of use. It is in excellent working condition.

In 1964, Eleanor and Charles Garrett establish their business April 1.
Garrett Electronics introduces the dual search-coil Hunter, his first metal detector, to the market (retail price $145.00). In 1973, the Transmitter-Receiver was developed, followed in 1975 with the push-button retuning circuit.

This unit is probably from the mid-1970s. It is in very good condition and performs very well at coin-shooting. It has an adjustable stem. One of the first coins I found was an 1858 twenty-five cent piece. It was approximately 5” deep in the ground. The detector uses four 9-volt batteries.

Included is a reproduction user manual (for a similar model) and a vintage headset.

Cash only.

Prefer local pickup but would consider meeting halfway for in-person pickup if you can't come to me.
